Upcoming Workshop opportunity
Are you between the ages of 18 and 25? Would you like an opportunity to explore your own story and create a version of it, using any creative technique that interests you? Would you like to work with a small, supportive group to share and develop your story?
This April, the Thrive Together project is hosting a free eight-week story-making workshop for young people who are curious about stories from their own lives.
Thrive Together is focused on exploring the relationship between well-being and sexual and reproductive health, including voluntary contraception.

What is story-making?
Story-making is a method of creative practice. In story making we experiment with a range of creative techniques designed to generate story ideas, refine them, and develop them into finished, creative artefacts. Stories may be told through writing, visuals, sounds, movements, or objects, both digital and tactile. The story you make will be yours, and you can decide when and if the story will be shared outside of the workshop process.
What will happen in the workshop?
During the workshop, individually and as part of the group, you will be invited to take part in various creative activities designed to help you devise, refine, and craft a story about your life. They could include drawing, painting, collage, writing, movement, making objects, taking photos, making audio recording and digital animation. You will use materials you have on hand.
We will pay a stipend of up to $480 if you attend all sessions.
